NorthShore University HealthSystem (NorthShore) received Magnet recognition and is the only organization in Illinois to receive this prestigious designation as a system.The award, given by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), recognizes health care organizations that demonstrate excellence in nursing and high standards in patient care. The Magnet recognition, the highest honor in nursing, serves as a benchmark for patients to measure the safety and quality of care they can expect to receive. Only six percent of hospitals across the country have achieved this extraordinary recognition.
