I love this performance! Forget the mistakes, to bad this is when the terrible Zhuk was training them.

Its a Gordeeva and Grinkov performance which sets it in a class by itself. Training with Zhuk did help them perfect their technique, but he definitely held them back artistically. The technique for this competition was a disgrace (he didn't travel with them for unknown reasons)not to mention it lacks chirography. The music selection was terrible and it didn't set up the elements. Even if Katia had not fallen I would have to say this is probably the worst number of their amateur career.

You can tell Marina Zueva didn't choreograph this number... must have been when Zhuk was coaching them... the quad was spectacular though.
