How many of you are old enough to remember that under the parking lot on wallace and 35th Corner next to the station house there was a PUBLIC POLICE Pool
They one year just filled it in and paved a police car parking lot over it!

One day I'm sure the white folks will understand the new demographics with time. They will just have to realize that the Indian's were there first and elect more of them to power. Even if they are the minorities now.

Funny you should bring that up. Three miles directly south of here at 63rd and Halsted, the new Kennedy-King College just opened.

What is an elderman? And why is it a minority woman?

"Alderman". In other cities, they're called city councilmen. They're elected from 50 different sections of the city called wards. Out of our 50 aldermen, 13 are minority women. Now that's progress.

What do you mean by progress? The fact that a minority can become, as you call it, a aldermen? They may not be as intellegent as your self sir, but they can function just the same in government just as a person of the caucasian persuasion. We have many of them here in australia. That's why we outlawed any form of malt liquor and guns. With our advanced laws the need for time clocks have now given way to productive "minority" workers

Glad to hear that race relations in Australia has advanced so far. As far as minorities in politics here, it's been a long, hard fight against white power-brokers who were very reluctant to acknowledge that the demographics of Chicago were changing.
