Showing the gyroscopic effect of the rotary engine and how nicely it is simulated in Rise of Flight (upper right layer).

  • "Gyro" effect is interesting in flight, not in ground!

  • @Kopihucky It's pretty obvious from the vid... the larger vid is from a real Camel with an original rotary, so it isn't hard to tell. I've also seen this Camel in person several times and FFulmenTheFinnish is correct.

  • Bit exaggerated in RoF but still better than nothing!

  • Excelente vídeo

  • @Kopihucky The video. The larger image is footage from real life while in the corner it's from the game. Compare the two.

  • @FFulmenTheFinnish Have you flown a real camel? What is your basis of comparison?

  • In-game it bounces way too much compared to RL.

  • Sopwith Camels were lowriders xD??

  • damn those rotaries were torquey

  • The devs have done a great job of the flight model and gyro effects.

    Good video.

  • The Camel killed more of it's own pilots in training than in combat. Still, with 1294 aerial victories credited to Camel Pilots it was the most deadly allied aircraft to the enemy.
