流通大手のイオン傘下のイオンリテールは２日、１２日から公開される劇場用アニメーション映画「宇宙戦艦ヤマト　復活篇」とタイアップし、オリジナル商品をジャスコの５３店舗で映画の公開日となる１２日から販売すると発表した。

@MrWongCx I know that the hood was a much older ship and that the deck plating was to weak to withstand a barrage of the larger caliber guns on the Bismarck. Additionally the Bismarck had an extremely luck shot at the hood that took out her rear munitions chamber and the total loss in mere minutes was the result of the internal explosions caused by the hit to the ammo storage. As a battleship the Yamato was as impressive as useless, since naval warfare had shiftet to aircraft carriers.

@dudewhosaysarrh keep in mind the various circumstances that culminated in the Hood's catastrophic destruction. She was a WWI ship after all. The Yamato, of course, was newer, and being the pride of the imperial navy, had to be given the best. 20 years difference in technology and experience would of course, shape the efficiency of design.

@CptFreakout1 lol you can say that again. The Yamato class battleships in WW II (there were two of them- the Yamato and the Musashi) were indeed very hard to kill. The Musashi e.g. was attacked in four waves and took 11 direct torpedo and 10 aerial bomb hits in the fourth wave alone before she started sinking and that took about 8 hours. Just for the sake of comparison: when the HMS Hood fought the Bismarck in the battle of Skagerrag, she took five hits, and went under in about 8 minutes
