Cajun Grace performed by the Idaho Falls Firefighters Pipes and Drums from Idaho Falls, ID (thank you, tommy2668!). Firefighter Pipe Bands from all over North America joined together for the Fallen Firefighter Memorial in Colorado Springs on Saturday, September 19, 2009. Following the memorial, they marched down Pikes Peak and Tejon in downtown Colorado Springs. After their street performance, they march into Jack Quinns Pub, and perform while standing on chairs and tables, and any place else they can find room. This video is courtesy of Jack Quinns Pub.

  • This version was recorded at Jack Quinns around midnight on Saturday night. Was it the Calgary and Toronto bands? Or Idaho Falls? I would like to give credit where it is due.

  • You too! See you then- Craig

  • Craig! Glad you had a good time...I love it when a bunch of us can get together and crank out something that leaves a positive impression! And of course...we can do it all again next year! Stay safe. ~Dean

  • Hi there, I concur...I was the Bass Drummer from Tacoma who sat in with Calgary/Toranto upstairs at Quinns just before close and on the previous sets at Cowboy's. This isn't it. But I gotta say....you players ROCK!!!!! I had the most fun with you all ever!!!! Leave it to the Canadians to set the standard on most fun once again! I should have known. With a lot of love from your little brother at Local 31 Tacoma F.D. !!!! See you next year!!!! Craig at Pierce County Professional FF Pipes & Drums

  • Oh yeah...and one other name I have heard is Amazing Cajun, which happens to be one of my favorites.

  • This version is not Calgary and Toronto...I guess my time estimate might be slightly off. Maybe we played after this because we closed down the bar and no other band played after us! ha ha!

  • I've also heard our version called Cajun Grace, Calgary Grace, Calgary Cajun, and Canadian Grace. Whatever you want to call it, the crowd seems to like it and it's a lot of fun to play! Hopefully, someone will post the version from Quinn's on Sat. nite. That was a particularly good one!

  • Rodney...the version you are talking about was played by the Calgary (of which I am a member) and Toronto bands. It has a distinctly different drum score that this version by Idaho. We also had members from Spokane Valley, Orange County, and Tacoma join us. We played it at Cowboy's on both Friday and Saturday nights and we ended the weekend by playing it at Quinn's around midnight on Saturday in honour of the LA city firefighter who died that day.

  • It is called Cajun Grace. Performed by the Idaho Falls Firefighters Pipes and Drums from Idaho Falls, Idaho.
