@Darkrunner1975 It is all posturing. The Russian governments wants the country to be seen as a military superpower again with international influence - hence it resumed the pointless and expensive bomber patrols among other actions.

Not sure why Russia sees this as a threat.
If they wanted to fire on the US, or anyone for that matter, a paltry 25 interceptors aren't going to do a damn thing, other than be laughed at.

It doesn't surprise me that Obama in the end dropped this idiotic Bush plan to intall anti-missile "sheilds" in the Czech Republic and Poland, especially when the majority were against it.
