The continental Saxons had no kings, but they had a duke (german: Herzog; oldgerman: herizogo). They voted him at the Thing.

It says in the title, but in North America it was renamed Dark kingdom: The Dragon King. It wasn't released in theaters in North America, I only saw it on Space, or the Sci-Fi channel.

They used the name of the tetralogy of Richard Wagner's Operas, but changed everything. A real shit!
I would love to see real good movies about Wagner's Operas, all of them!

@Bierkiller87 yeah but this film is inspired by a legend

The vikingships are a little out of place, but otherwise a great adaption of great germanic myths and sagas. Some runestones also have motiv from this epic story: Just look for: ramsundsberget, runstenar, sigurdsstenen etc, on Google..

main actor makes Siegfrid look like a total dumbass...for example "What a beatiful bird!" part:D...his acting really made me laugh....I probably wouldn't watch the whole movie if there wasn't Kristinna Loken in it:P

What? Is that Sigurd Fåvnesbane? No way! Sigurd (the dragon slayer) has a beard! ;)
