@dithorsos well the flower died while the squash was still little and the tip of baby squash had turned brown up near the flower...so i clipped it off...what was wrong with it...? i hope my other ones dont do that.

i have a blossom like this but the flower connected to it died..is the squash messed up now or is this normal?

@brianwurst1234 Well I am no expert but i have been growing squash for years and there are 2 basic types Bush type and and vine type.The vine type can really spread and take up alot of garden space.Suggestion use a fence and let vine types grow up it save space.Or grow bush type whitch use very little room compared to vine types.Thanks paul

This sometimes happen to some of our plants too, especially when they do not grow large. I do not know exactly why.

It is normal for the connecting flowers to wither and die.

Hi,
Squashes may have some resemblence to vines with their long and spreading stems, but are not. They generally grow spread out in all directions on the ground.
