@karlakor Actually more TV shows were filmed in NY back then than in LA. Most of them were live broadcasts, too.

Gale managed to fool them all! RIP, Gale. I'm glad we got to exchange some e-mail in the last years of your life. What a sweetheart she was.

i am glad that drunken bitch is dead.

DELIGHTFUL! Gale Storm is such a charming lady. Great star of two very successful sitcoms

I don't remember her singing in the "margie" show.
-
Gale finally stumped them lol

Even more embarrassing because she was a popular recording artist - simply absurd that her voice wasn't recognized.

OMG! That high picthed squeck must have been hard on poor Ms.Storm's throat.
I hope that Ms.Storm never tried to do "Minnie or Mickey Mouse's"voices for a nightclub act..or for her kids?

@simonious1967 Gale Storm was a television star of the 1950s, appearing in two series, "Oh Susannah!" and "My Little Margie". The latter began as a summer replacement series for "I Love Lucy" and was later made into a regular series, if I am not mistaken. The plots were all pretty much alike: Margie's father tries to play a trick on her, but she finds out about it and then tries to play a trick on him. It was actually a fairly popular series in its day. and has become a cult classic.

This is a brilliant interpretation of James Bond
This is embarrassing! The panel didn't even come close to identifying Gale Storm, even after she used her own voice! It shows what a New York crowd they were and how little they watched television. I don't fault the panel for not being as familiar with television as they were with the Broadway stage, but I do feel sorry for Gale Storm.

I (citizen of western USA) did not know of him or about him until I watched this broadcast. Very witty. Very charming. Too bad New York and London are so far apart. WML in this period could have used him more often.
