We The People is a special series that will examine the issues weighing heavily on voters minds by travelling the country and meeting the people whose lives are most affected.
While most Americans would be hard-pressed to remember where they were and what they were doing when the Iraq war started five years ago, it has been a life-changing event for those most closely involved with it.
On March 21, 2003, the Marines of Fox 2/5 were the first troops to invade Iraq.
Award-winning documentary filmmaker Mike Cerre, a former Marine himself, has followed the story of this average company of Marines, from their subsequent tours of duty in Iraq to their return to civilian life.
While most have successfully gone back to school, started families and pursued careers, others have been battling the physical and psychological effects of war.
Weaving the stories of these individual soldiers together, We the People explores a generation at war.

you just proved the guys point of how stupid Americans are.. you made yourself an example.. like a lab-rat in an experiment..
In other languages they have different pronunciations and spelling for countries,Cities & towns..
Europeans pronounce Spain (Espana)...you pronounce it Spain.... Prague pronounced Praha So get an education before criticizing other peoples pronunciations...

recon by fire? wow!
hearing that makes you truly understand how out of hand things are, in Iraq. its unfortunate that our policies have trapped those young men and women into the defense not of our nation, but our pride. so many are just unwilling to admit to making a mistake. even if it means that generations to come must suffer for that infraction.

You people talking about soldiers/Marines/airmen as pawns of the Republicans... as if the party division was anything more than a way to play you for fools...
You don't even realize that 75% of the words from you mealy-mouthed civilians come across as more patronizing than any "look at the heroes" BS from politicians.
Quit making us the poster children for you own little personal purposes. We're nothing other than something to talk about to feel important and deep for people like you.

i agree 100% but i was just commenting on the primary content of this particular video.
the sickening bit is the us government, you hear words thrown around like 'heroes' 'ultimate sacrifice' they act like they give a shit about u.s soldiers but they don't. they seem to be just tiny pawns in a big game to the republicans. you'd think they would at least have health care for the people who fought for them, but no. u.s is no more civilised or humanitarian than the countries they invade.

I'm just waiting on one of these veterans to snap, and start going postal on the politicians that lied to send them there. It's not an unrealistic scenario: highly trained, and heavily armed PTSD sufferer realizes that he's been lied to his whole life, and suddenly snaps, cleaning up what he views as the mess, to prevent more of the same. There's a movie there, if not a tragedy in the waiting.
