  • Rummsfeld is confused.

Rummsfeld hurt itself in its own confusion.

You see, when your confused, don't attack.

When you attack during confusion you can hurt yourself.

    Buy a Pokemon Game.

    It helps Japan.

  • after the guy asks "is this an unknown unknown?" and he says "i'm not gonna say which it is" he should've said ... "do you even know?" hahah

  • the great part about this administration is that if it was intentionally funny, no comedian could do a better job

  • the journalist didn't get it, it cannot be an unknown unkown because unknown unknowns are.. you know, unknown.

  • THE UNKNOWN UNKNOWN IS A KNOWN UNKNOWN

ENGLISH MOTHER FUCKER DO YOU SPEAK IT?

  • Donald Rumsfeld with his three scenarios offered a wonderful philosophic beginning but then he stopped short of productive statement in my view being that the reports of no evidence of a direct link between bagdad and terrorists were an example of a known unknown (one knows there is a link but not its quality) and an example of a journalist peeking and poking.

  • Rumsfeld's initial point is not confused, he's quoting a basic idea in philosophy, "known unknowns VS unknown unknowns". Where he fails to use his point productively is saying "i wont say which it is", when he should have made the point.

  • @proconsulaugustus Don't ever call me an idiot (even if you are kidding)- you don't know me.

  • @jonkirian You're an idiot! Thats what is KNOWN! Just kidding. You are exactly correct. He is trying to explain the three types of potential information on a battlefield.

Known Known: I know there is a tank at this location.

Known Unknown: I know there is a tank in this area, but I don't know where.

Unknown Unknown: There could be other tanks you never knew existed, and you don't know where.

In reality, this is a very simple concept to grasp.

  • I can't help playing this video over and over. It's fantastic!!

  • I understand paranoia and fear based on known unknown.

  • I understand how this can be confusing to some. Not everybody's brain can comprehend 3 scenarios at 1 time. Thanks for trying though! Keep it up sport!!

known:knowns - a scenario you are aware of and know how it works.

known:unknowns: - a scenario you are aware of, but do not know how it works.

unknown: unknowns: - simply unforeseen scenarios you will likely encounter.

Now was that so difficult to comprehend?? If so... I'll have my steak medium well please. Thanks!
