To spotlight the full story of their career, Snow Patrol has released "Up To Now" -- a 30-track, double album of their favorite singles, album tracks, covers and a handful of new songs including "Just Say Yes," which Lightbody says "point to the future" of the band and its musical direction.

@mojoburger Fair enough. Regardless, it is just an opinion. I was pointing out that I disagree with the U2/Coldplay comparisons. U2 is one of my all time favortie bands so my comment wasn't meant to disparage.
But if we're talking all-time greats, I'd go with Led Zeppelin.

@fmallis I normally try to name successors too, but with U2 wrapping up a $700M USD tour (highest grossing in history) and still fairly young (Bono turning 50), let's name a successor when U2 is done. For now, U2 is the U2 of this generation. Possibly THE greatest band ever, IMO.

I hate when people tag them as repetitive because that only shows that those people haven't ever heard a Snow Patrol album from beginning to end.
Snow Patrol are a truly great band. I love that they grew and learnt over the years, its so organic and live they just blow you away. Gary's banter and gorgeous smile don't hurt either :-p....here's to another 15 years!
