Yes, the cats were Squeak and Scratch, like their real-life counterparts. Glad people are still enjoying the film after all this time. I made it while a student at the De Anza College Animation Workshop about 20 years ago. Gerry Burnett did the soundtrack and composed the music. Peg McClure Moudy

I kept watching this thinking over and over. This looks familiar, and then when the black cat yawned at the very end.......all of a sudden BAM! I watched the whole cartoon thinking I had seen it before but it wasn't until that last second that the light went off. Granted I was only about four the last time I saw this.

Thank you so much for uploading this! I've been looking for this for years and I still remember the beginning part! If I am right I believe it starts with the same as the ending and then moves on to Squeek and Scratch playing with a yarn. Again thanks a lot for uploading this video. ^.^

Thanks everyone for the wonderful comments and even greater thanks to Peg for giving us this wonderful piece of work!
Although I do not have access to my video tapes at this time, once I get at them again I will attempt to locate the full version of this and post it if I can. I believe it may be on one of my tapes somewhere.

Indeed they are. If you look at the end credits, they are credited as such.
