featuring the Emotions 'I Don't Want To Lose Your Love' sample as also sampled in the '92 (or was it '91?)hardcore classic 'Hold It Down' by 2 Bad Mice - I think 2Bad Mice used the MC Shy D sample rather than the original Emotions one

All those dee jays you mentioned were incredible. I still have on cassette some of their performances in the New Music Seminar competition from back in the day.

I still have this on 12 inch vinyl, always had the most bass.

@staercky MC SHY D / 1987 / LUKE SKYYWALKER RECORDS ( aka LUKE RECORDS ... aka LIL JOE RECORDS now ) / Album - Got To Be Tough / B Side - Track 3 / Produced by Peter " Shy D " Jones / Co-Produced by DJ Man

??? ... u know what - they never really said back then what he went in for ... he did a few years & as i understood it / he sued LUKE for 1.2 million in unpaid royalties then the judge awarded him around $750,000 ....... then the rest of the guys on the label ( 2 live crew, JT Money & Poison Clan, Home Team , etc ) started to crack the whip with lawsuits for " backpay " & that was the downward spiral of Luke Records as we knew it to be ..... only Shy D got the biggest chunk ..
