@Gambito99100 His original name was Taka. He was renamed Scar after a misadventure with a herd of buffalos, that caused him his "scar".

@Tomahachi12 hey tomahaci good job and taka did swich his name to scar after getting the scar by either one of two things a water buffalo or punishment form his father the reason i put two is because i have seen both versions of it and i don't know which is true

@Frost2899 after the movie came out, a book company made a series of short story books and comics of different adventures in the Pride lands, including stories of Mufasa and Scar as cubs. That story reveals that Scar's name was actually Taka, and he probably called himself scar after getting the scar on his eye
