As soon as I saw this movie, I had to do a homage to Ellen Page, she really pushed her acting skills in this role. And her character is just a little demented but adorable too. I've tried to include all my favourite scenes and Libby lines but there are too many to count, basically every Libby scene is entertaining.

I do reccommend this movie to anyone who may like Ellen, and it is a rather good dark comedy in its own right, but Ellen did steal the show ;) It's nothing like Kick-Ass if you're wondering, I have watched both, apart from them both being about wannabe superheros, they're quite different.

Enjoy!

  • @nz034 Oh, and if you watched any interviews of the film (which you probably haven't, and that's understandable given your opinion) you'd know that everyone loved the film. Rainn even called Gunn after just 22 pages and wanted to star in the film, because he'd never read anything "so raw."

  • @nz034 All the reasons you gave aren`t really reasons. They're just the way your perceived the characters. Protagonists don't have to be relatable, or even all that likable for the story to be good. He went after his wife because she was the only thing he had going for him. He had an empty life, and nothing to live for. He was a sad, desperate, and probably mentally challenged man.

This is not brilliance, but it is amazing. It probably doesn't break my top 500, but I'll watch it again.

  • @smexijebus Btw, there was a reason why this movie only related to losers, why every critic destroyed it and called it tasteless. Try watching this movie not high and you'll realize how much of a joke it was and how every actor probably wished they didnt make it. The director should have been Alan Smithee cause this was garbage.

No, I'm not kidding you, and I actually like sad endings like The Green Mile, Requiem, RTPerdition, 310 Yuma, No Country, These were some of the best movies ever. But "Super", in general, had a terrible protagonist, terrible story telling, the characters were unlikable. I mean what real man, not a male, is going to go after a women who left him for a douche and drugs. This isnt Taxi Driver, this movie was a joke. And I actually feel bad for you cause to you this is brilliance ha!

  • @nz034 Are you kidding me? The end is what pushed the movie from good to fucking amazing. If you need all your stories to end with a happily ever after, I feel very sorry for you. The sad endings, the ones that end bittersweet, those are the great ones. No one wants Romeo and Juliet to live; no one wants the Titanic to avoid the iceberg; no one wants a story without sacrifice.

This movie is awesome. In so many ways.

  • Yeah, the end was sooooo fucked up. I mean, his wife was a slut crackhead, he was a phsyco, literally, and she was just a young kid. There is nothing awesome about this movie, This movie sucked ass.

  • What happened to Ellen Page at the end was waaaay out of left field & left me legitimately shocked... I couldn't believe it. Great movie & Ellen Page did an awesome job just like she has in every movie she's done. Great actress... & Super is an AWESOME movie.

  • I heard the song 'Vanity Theft - Bit by Bit (Noir Dubstep Remix)' and so insisted on finding out where the 2:18 part of that song was, now I'm here, watching 1:24 - 1:29 8D

    Cool. ^_^
