Colonel John Ripley USMC:

Col. John Ripley, USMC, recounts his heroic feat destroying the Dong Ha bridge in Vietnam. Fatigued and undernourished, he had recourse to praying to Jesus and Mary giving him the strength he needed to complete his task. His description of how he received the supernatural grace is most inspiring. As Prof. Plinio Correa de Oliveira, a Brazilian Catholic leader, commented on hearing this epic feat, it was an event of Biblical proportion.

The full interview will be made available through The American TFP's website, www.tfp.org.

  • Your title has USNA - it is USMC

  • Thank you for that correction. A crucial oversight. I hope I didn't offend anybody.

  • RIP Col. Ripley. A great Marine! The trucks the NVA were using to convoy troops and munitions were Fords - made in a Soviet factory designed and built by the Ford Motor Company. The fuel that powered them came from Soviet oil fields developed by American interests with close ties to the Rockefeller oil cartel. Before any military action in Viet Nam could occur the US cleared it through the UN - whose military deputy was a Soviet General....

  • I have had the pleasure to had met this Marine. Ooh Rah!

  • You have used two pictures of the Dong Ha bridge which do not belong to you. They were taken by my brother and apparently lifted from his Flickr pages. He has not given given you permission to use them.

  • A brave man fighting for FREEDOM. The North had invaded the South after all. It had everything to do with his faith and training as a Marine.

    Semper Fi!
