Akosh - Secret Self

Akosh (Ákos Kovács) was the singer of Bonanza Banzai. They've broken up in 1994, but Akosh continued to sing, and he created his own style. Now he's one of the most popular singers of Hungary.

This song released in 1994, on "All is One" album. There's also a hungarian version of this song, titled "Láss bennem mást", that's released on "Test" (Body) album.

Yeah...up till now...The question is why a talented Hungarian songwriter would write and publish an album in English? The answer is probably in his publisher contract...

Yeah, just the accent is funny...please don`t forget that just because it is written in English, it doesn`t mean that it makes any sense to a native English speaker. It sounds like a song written by a primary school senior year. Eg. there are no verbal verbs in it and no slang. Many of the sentences sound strange: " I`m a stranger, meaning nothing to you"...? And "tonight you`ll do.."? ...What " you`ll do?"..

@Tomi1889 Szerintem butaság azon pattogni hogy jobban tud-e vkinél vagy hogy jól tud-e. A TEST album számai külföldön is hatalmas sikert arattak tudniillik, innentől fogva a számok alapján tökmindegy ki mit gondol, já? :)

Amielött kritizálnátok Ákost mondjatok már nekem egy olyan magyar énekest/ énekesnőt,aki magának írja az angol szövegeit,vagy egyáltalán a magyar dalainak a szövegeit ;)

Cor, he was recommended to me, he's pretty good. Vids work really well, he's a very good visual performer. Like his vocals too.

A kettőt meghallgattam most egyszerre, egymásra keverve. Szerintem a magyar verziónál ez az angol valahogy pörgősebb főleg a végén, mivel a "Se My Secret Self" hosszabb és ugyanannyi idő alatt kell énekelnie mint az ennél rövidebb "Láss Bennem mást" (leírva hosszúnak tűnik, de kimondva rövidebb mint az angol).

Imádom magyarul és angolul is egyaránt,de kivételesen ez az angol verzió jobban bejön:)
