  • Hi! thanks for your posts. I want to do my own experiment, motivated by guys like you, but I need to understand something. When you say x amount of wraps; are you refering to the number of turns of wire each coil has? Cheers

  • @lusoportugal08 Yep that's what it means, you need a different number of wraps depending on the voltage you want, and the gauge of the wire you are using.

  • @CACrossfam I guess my next task is to learn the relationship between those (wrap count and voltage obtained) and there's nothing like practice so I'm going to make one with cd's, and see what it turns out in volts. The higher the wire gauge and number of wraps the higher the voltage obtained. Is this right?
