he seems to be an excellent character actor and unlike many Bangla artists from that era, speaks very good Hindustani! on top of that, he could sing VERY well!

He also sang in Sulah (1946) besides acting in 12 other - mostly Bengali - movies: Shankaracharya (1927), Sonar Sansar (1936), Hal Bangla (1938), Nandini (1941), Chhadmabeshi (1944), Matir Ghar (1944), Path Bendhe Dilo (1945), Mane Na Mane (1945), Kato Door (1945), Biraj Bou (1946), Vidyasagar (1950) and Chore (1956).
