I did this 100 mile march while stationed in Germany, in '85 and '86. Both times, it was the greatest two week party I've ever seen.

I did this in '81 as an 11 year old, can't remember much of it and at the time I didnt even know what it was for. My dad worked for Dr Barnado's homes and a group of us went. Am glad I'm able to say I did it though.

I did this march in 1961. Although we were RASC (As it was then), we had a Royal Signals 2Lt pipe us through each village. The Dutch people were very friendly. All our members complete the course, our team received a plaque and each member got the medal, I still have mine. We put up the 2nd fastest time for the day and were beaten by the Royal Engineers I think. The American Marines got thrashed, as did the Canadian Guards team.

does everyone military recieve a medal for this event? I'm doing it this year and the boys are curious.

lol at the music about heroes, it's a nice fourdaymarch. I'm looking forward to participating as a civillian, good thing that the military stuff has decreased so much. sounds like fun.
