I went to Ecuador in 1997 to do research for my thesis at university (Leisure Studies; a study after local indigenous people and the tourism industry). It was a great experience and what a fantastic country: both the people and the landscape are so interesting. Thanks for posting this video. It's so nice to see it all back again and regain some of my own memories too :)

La Plaza e Iglesia de San Francisco son preciosísimas!!!!! .... es como detenerse en el tiempo, volver al pasado hispánico ... y sentir los aires y olores (por la madera de la iglesia) de aquellos años. Es sin duda la mejor experiencia que he tenido de esta MUY BELLA Y HERMOSA, a la vez ACOGEDORA CIUDAD DE QUITO...

I took my son to Otavalo. His Great Grandmother lives in Tumbaco. We live in Florida, so this was a beautiful experience for him. We went in 2003. I want to take him again this summer, 2010.
