why play a fretless? what's the difference?

@b1bIs1337 A fretless is harder to play in my opinion. A fretless basses also have a smoother slide so a glissando sounds almost seamless.

Nice bass. Is that a Squier or a Fender?

@MTO224 The one and only Fender.

Aw, shit. They've been really on top of any of the newer content.
However! Do I spy a sunburst tortoise shell pickguard jazz bass? =D I'm gonna pick up bass one of these days, and that's the base I want! =D
How different is playing bass from playing guitar? I'm getting slowly better at guitar. How much of that translates?

@Reconcilia7ion Yes, I have the same model as Mio with the exceptions that it is right-handed and fretless. Guitar is definitely a good start to bass since roughly about 50-80% carries over depending on your playing style. The only thing that doesn't carry over from guitar to bass is your technique all the musical theory is exactly the same and knowing your notes on the neck comes in handy especially when you compose.
