@digenovafilm I like that note, I think its arabic style singing which bono picked up listening to local singers when recording in north africa

quite different to the original, bono voice is deeper, drums are heavier, I wouldnt say improvments on the original but it keeps the song fresh, Edge really nails the guitar solo better than ever though, no one else on the planet could have played that.

I think I know what was going on. Adam's partner is pregnant at this point (we only found out Adam became a father in early 2010 last year). Maybe he'd recently told the rest of the band? See the baby/birth related lyrics of Magnificent and Bono cradling at 2:55.
