@JetPilott Well those cells can't transfer even 10% of the provided light to electricity, so if that number some day gets to 100% there's your 10x.

u ever think about building them to sell ? i kno plenty of aviation enthusiasts that would enjoy your work wether its put on a desk or a dashboard.
I cool item to have on your desk to impress your friends, but that will NEVER generate enough power to fly. It would take at least ten times as much power generated by those small cells to make that fly.

Made from brass and lead solder, not balsa and tissue. Desk toy only.
Was fun to make.

No, never was intended to do so; just a desk toy.
The bi-planes are great for the car hanging from the rear view mirror.
