how can you render it, and make it a file so that you can watch it but it doesnt always take you back into houdini to watch it, if you understand what I mean.

S u can import adobe illustrate format into Maya and it will imported as curve

it's a combination of "spaces" and "expose"
both built into mac osx 10.5 and later
on my computer the buttons are "F9" and "F13"
i'm not sure what the defaults are but its configurable in system preferences.

it looks like you have nuke on your taskbar. do you use that for your compositing or do you do it all in houdini?
