http://bulbdial.com/ One minute in the life of a bulbdial clock, sitting on our window sill on a partly cloudy day. This is an "indoor sundial" clock that has three rings of LEDs that create shadow hands of different length on the clock face. While the camera doesn't capture it very well, the spots of light cast by the ultrabright LEDs are brilliant red, green, and blue.

  • @dethtongue You know theres pesticides for killing rats. You dont have to waste good cheese cake.

  • This is perfect for a person like me who has rodents in the house that always chew the hands off my clock whenever I forget to put out some cheesecake out for them at night.

  • the second hand doesnt seem to be moving second by second... it seems to move every other second...

  • Thats awesome, did you make it?

  • Someone commented about the length of the shadow "hands." The gnomon in the center is spear-shaped, so the red hour lights are located on the uppermost ring to shine on the top of the gnomon, shining slightly downward to project a shorter "hand." The minute lights are on the middle ring and the seconds are the lowest ring, striking the fattest part of the gnomon and making a longer shadow.

  • There are only 30 LED's for seconds, so it advances every two seconds. I just bought one of these kits and I can't wait to get it assembled and running in my office.

  • i like how it sounds when you zoom in

  • seems likke the seconds are going too slow

  • That is the best clock I've ever seen.

And I've seen some amazing clocks in my time.

  • I would never use pesticide in or around my house, or kill living things with eyes intentionally. The cheesecake is a small price to pay for aligning myself with the will of the Lord of Rodents. Hail rodent!
