Rob (speaking) and Stu competing in the Atlantic Rowing Race 2009 http://www.atlanticrowingrace09.com

Twitter update recorded on 7 Jan 2010 at 2028 GMT.

Message is: "Very frustrating day on the para anchor for the last 24 hrs, although around 9 o'clock this morning we managed to get going. Wind's very much in our favour and we're making good progress in the region of four knots, but we should make, possible 80 knots, 80 nautical miles in the whole day, which will be fantastic, and we now only see one boat on our GPS navigator chart, and myself and Stu are very much alone. Our bodies are falling to bits already, Stu's feet are pretty awful and my hands are pretty awful - that's one of the penalties. Anyway, love to everyone, thanks for all of your texts, you know who you are."
