not at all =) anyway kain was offered to either sacrifice himself to heal nosgoth or refuse and rule it as it slowy got more corrupt, kain was unwilling to give his life so over the mellenia he tried to find a third option "the coin is still turning" in doing this he saved raziel from being absorbed into the reaver, wich caused the events of blood omen 2. it all gets very confusing if you have any more questions plz message me its quicker

exacly. raziel provides alot of the reavers powers, like the souls draining ability. without this power alot of things couldn't happen and Kain wouldnt have a chance to find the third option
