Brutal charge by Bangali police on Muslims protesting HT arrests: 27 march 2009

This video is from Dhaka, Bangladesh. After Juma'a prayer on Friday, the 27th of March, 2009, the members and supporters of Hizb ut Tahrir's global work for Khilafah protested against the arrest of fourty of their brothers in the preceding weeks. These demonstrators were in turn met by the brutality of the police.

On Friday, a large demonstration was organised to protest this, and possibly far worse took place: brothers were brutally beaten, another 10 arrested and some 40 injured. The video makes for shocking viewing - after one of the speeches, takbirs ring out, before police decide its enough - the crowd starts running in all directions as the police officers charge, but a few brothers stumble, are left on the ground, and police beat them repeatedly without mercy. Subhan Allah - seems there's something Bangladesh's government could be good at (brutalising innocement Muslims enjoining the good).

may Allah smite the opporessors who order such brutality against Muslims working for the return of Islam. And may he keep these brothers steadfast!
