How is C++ dead? Sure, C# is your businessman's choice for writing a apps without spending much money on developer time, no arguing there. However, if you want anything more resource efficient than Minesweeper you're back to C++. A bit of a weird claim, Bryan.

c#, are you kidding me?! I'd rather code in a bowl of cold alphabet soup! Maybe C# gets some things "righter", but it's the J++ of the 2000's. .NET is a joke. Does gcc even support C# at all?
