I think this program works real well with chidren who are naturaly just smart and active. Like the other mother she was saying that her child hasnt learned anything. My son is 2yr and is already reading the books it came with. I got the program at 1yrs old and it took me 3 months and he was repeating everything and reading and pointing. Some peoples kids are just brain retarded like maybe yours or the other white mother.

My child is VERY bright for her age and can read over 40 words at 20 months...but as a mother i would never call another child ( NO MATTER there mental state)....brain retarded, bring your ego back to earth. I can see why starting it early would be a good thing...my 4 month old baby is glued to any moving screen right now, because he's not crawling or walking yet. Getting him to pay attention to it at this point is not hard at all! That may be why they say to start it as early as possible...? We have one the videos, but I'm making the flashcards myself I'm also going to make a powerpoint presentation with our own words. Every day, I read him books that have one picture and one word on each page.

Awesome, that is definitely what I would do....you can save SO much money just making the flash cards yourself. Like I said....if it hadn't been a gift I probably wouldn't have spent my money on it. The flash cards that come with the system are nice...but its not like your baby will know the difference if you make them yourself....and it will more than get the job done. Good Luck!

my child is 19 months and I seriously thought about buying this a while ago. However I find that just reading and playing and talking to your child as you would a small person and not using baby talk helps. Her vocabulary now is in the 300's . She's not a genius, we are just involved as possible with 3 kids as working parents. Just be there for your kids and limit them starring at the TV to a minimum. Also my 11 year old reads to here ever evening while we make dinner.

I wish I could show you all what my 20 month old knows from these videos...I am amazed everyday, she can read almost 500 words and knows all of her shapes including pentagon and octagon and all of her colors and can count to 30. These are not things I would have thought to teach her but because of this program I did. She also knows her alphabet and recognizes all letters. My daughter uses this dvd set and she can talk plain as day almost and shes only 16 mths. She loves dancing and singing to the music. And she repeats and does the motions for most of it.. I dont think you should talk bad about especially if you havent even tried it.

I don't believe that this stuff works. This is basic common sense that all babies learn if you actually work with them. My daughter is 19 months old and can do all of this stuff with knowing what animals are because I actually sat down and work with her on it.

BedBad N Beyond have it for $99. so I will check walmrt, hope i can find it for 60 i would maybe pay tht at th most because i suck at using windows movie maker plus i dont hav the time. But i agree they should update th images if thy r too old.
