Origami was awarded a contract through a competitive federal acquisition process to participate in the new Assisted Living Pilot Program for Veterans with Traumatic Brain Injury (AL-TBI).
The program, the first of its kind for V.A., helps veterans with traumatic brain injuries who need long-term residential care by placing them in specialized TBI residential assisted living facilities like Origami that are closer to their homes and families, while avoiding institutional and hospital settings. Now, through treatment facilities like Origami, veterans are provided TBI rehabilitative care in residential settings while still receiving access to a wide range of post-acute services and supports from VA and the residential facility that will help them on the road to rehabilitation.
