Last month, one of New York's most notable BMX riders Nigel Sylvester took a trip across the world to Tokyo as part of a Gatorade-sponsored event. Hoping to get some solid riding in throughout some unfamiliar landscapes, unfortunately Mother Nature was largely un-cooperative. We still managed to catch up with Nigel to gain a better insight into the parallels between Tokyo and New York City, his everyday routine and his goals and aspirations.

Nigel Sylvester is my inspuration to keep on bmxing. He's my favorite rider of all time :)

@JkSILY Because he's the main role-model in the BMX world. Not saying other riders aren't looked up to. But he's the main one. Even the pros themselves look up to him, for his attitude, the way he carries himself and just the fact that he is an icon in the industry.
