In October 2011, the Sydney Symphony gave the Sydney premiere of Australian composer Nigel Westlake's Missa Solis -- Requiem for Eli. The piece is a moving tribute to Nigel's son who died tragically in 2008.
This video is a way for the Sydney Symphony to pay tribute to Nigel and his family and his masterful work which the orchestra had the honour of performing with Nigel conducting.

I have just heard the story behind this piece and was deeply moved by it and the beautiful music. I strongly believe act of creation has a limitless healing power that transcends it's creator and affects those who witness it. It would be wonderful to be able to access the whole work. Do you know if it is available for purchase? Thank you.
