The beloved victory Choir!

Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

1. The strife is o'er, the battle done;
the victory of life is won;
the song of triumph has begun:
Alleluia!

2. The powers of death have done their worst,
but Christ their legions hath dispersed;
let shouts of holy joy outburst:
Alleluia!

3. The three sad days are quickly sped;
he rises glorious from the dead;
all glory to our risen Head!
Alleluia!

4. Lord, by the stripes which wounded thee,
from death's dread sting thy servants free,
that we may live, and sing to thee:
Alleluia!

  • Don't get me wrong. A pipe organ is my # 1 choice. Bad thing is, our pastor hates them and would rather play the guitar, so I have been going to a traditional church to hear the hymns that I miss!

  • @creekak

    If one were to actually perform an interpretation of this arrangement, a LOT of that would have to be covered by the organ.

  • Who says that traditional hymns can't be done w/o organ....although I do love the pipe organ

  • beautiful. thank you. goosebump producing hymn!!!

  • "The Strife is O'er, the Battle Done"
