My daughter turned 3 in December and she's fluent in 5 languages, Spanish,Catalan,Turkish,Bulgar

cool, teach him spanish too, if he has greek and italian spanish will be easy.

Sehr gut :-) I was born in the US, to a romanian mother and an american father (with a german background). Ever since I can remember I associated a language with a person.
I spoke english in school and with friends, romanian with my mom, german with my dad and my grandperents.
Today I´m 21, and fluent in english, romanian, german, spanish and french. (it was easy for me to learn spanish & french, because they are romance languages too)

Oh My Gosh! I love this baby!:) Now I know how my kids would do me and my hubbies 5 languages:) Does she getconfused? Like answering in anouther language then you ask a question in?

wow your kid is great! I'm pregnant now and my native language is spanish , my husband is swiss and speaks german, we live in Switzerland. Im going to use your method and speak only in spanish with him or her. :)

In fact I (greek) learnt to speak Italian, just as my wife (Italian) managed to learn Greek either. Not perfectly of course. I speak ONLY Greek to my son, my wife ONLY Italian. The "Germanibility" in fact comes from outdoor-contacs with Alexis' friends. Now we want to force the German language a little bit, as we live in Germany. My wife an me speak German to each other as it is our motherlanguage. Greez to you all and thanx again for your questions...

my wife has responded to your nice comment, but unfortunately the pc broke down just at the moment she wanted to send the mail. Greeting from Germany and: Teach your baby all the three languages. It's the best you can do. Their speed of learning is shocking...
