This is the first flight of my Trex 450. It took a while to get it trimmed correctly, but it flies really nice! I have a little experience with coaxial helicopters, but almost no real-life experience with CCPM helicopters. This video is proof positive of the value of practicing on simulators! No crashes on the first flight is pretty good I think :)

  • Very nice presentation, enjoyed all of it and the Doors was a nice touch. Considering this vid was made two years ago, you must be getting quite good it. Thanks for sharing this and your knowledge with me in the past few weeks. I'm going to get some of those Oranges. I like the looks of the TRex-450, has that MadHak look to it.

  • @1stAirWolf Yes, the 450 is a good bird to learn with. I was actually flying this one today. It's been crashed a couple times, and the motor needs to be upgraded, but it's still enjoyable to fly.

  • im a noob as well .. thats what i meant

  • Oh I see... this video was a couple years ago.

  • Thanks! Yeah I finally crashed this one like 30 flights later when the ESC or receiver failed in the middle of a low altitude roll... it was so bad I had to buy another one. Now I run a BEC on all my helis and some planes too.

  • Awesome flight for a "maiden noob", I wish my first one several years ago would have been that good. Ohh, well I'm doing it the "right way" now.

    Keep up the good work.

  • thanks abuch for reply i will check out his vids thanks ...

  • Yeah I'm familiar with the usage of "knobs" but here I just meant it was my first flight. I don't have any build videos of this one, but if you go to the HeliFreak web site, you can find some good ones in "The Tech Room"

  • HAD to laugh i havent seen someone say noob in years we called equipment operaters in the army noobs hope you know what that stands for lol nice heli im getting mine sat had a walkera 60 JUNK dust colletor now hope mine flies this nice you have any vids of putting together thanks keep her flying no fun grounded thanks rotorwash46 g4.5 realflight

  • Thanks! Yes, I have a 250 and 500 now too. They are very nice :)

  • Great flying. Align makes the best heli in my opinion keep up the good work.

  • Does it really fly so good and smooth or its hard to learn?

Great flight, i hope i can fly like you, when my T-Rex arrives :-)

  • Does it fly really so smooth or its hard to learn?

Great flight! I hope i can fly like you, when my rex arrives.

  • If you look in my other videos, you can see I have a CX2 - it's not a lot of help, but you can learn a little bit from it.

  • I use RealFlight G3.5

  • Trex ??? Figures ...... damn good flying machines !!!

  • also what coaxle heli did you use?

  • what simulator did you use?

  • Thanks for posting that so others can see the procedure - I already did it :)

  • You mentioned needing a smooth throttle stick - quick fix - unscrew your transmitter and inside you'll find a silver metal flap pushing down on the knotches of you throttle axis, its held on with one screw, just undo it and turn it over. Ideally you you need to replace it with a completely flat strip or squash it like i did with a hammer, you'll see what i mean when/if you do it but just turning it over works a treat.

  • Oh thanks :)

And it was a little out of whack on this flight. Blade tracking was off and the gear mesh was too tight - flies even better now!

  • Good job, and nice bird! I have a 450se and a 600n. The 600n is so much easier to fly. Check out my vids.

  • I know what you mean - the two helicopters cost me more than five planes would - but they do use the same batteries and radio, so you save a bit here and spend a bit there - it all works out. This heli is way more solidly built than even the best of my planes - well worth the money.
