I really like the concept. mrschevymom53 obviously is not a quilter or she would understand that the squares that she was cutting in half were not cut with this ruler. They are cut by taking the finished size of the square that you want to cut in half and adding 7/8". This will give the correct triangle size to sew on where the triangle was cut off. I am not a math teacher but I am a quilter. BTW your husband doesn't know math either.

Personally, I Love It! I may know the names of the shapes (yes, I have a degree in math), but as I've gotten older I have to stop & figure out exactly what she's (or a pattern) talking about. If you are that insulted by making the whole process as simple as possible, maybe you ought to grow up a little! I'm hoping that the repetition of using this ruler will help me get quicker with the math!!!!

It's pretty insulting to suggest that people can't handle the names of shapes like pentagon, hexagon, and octagon. Trapezoid? Oh, yeah, I'm crying real tears. Please, give people some credit!!
