Simply the best Author I have ever read, no one even comes close.....
I would love a book about Purcell's time in Central America, I am simply dying without a good Robicheaux story to read...am about to start re-reading them.

While Cormac McCarthy may be the Wordsmith of the Century James Lee Burke is certainly the most interesting and quality writer of contemporary fiction. The team of Burke and Will Patton is without question the best alive. These guys were born for each other.

@penasco88 I agree totally. Have interviewed Burke, and I told him on the phone that, "you know, James, you could teach a lot of other writers on the bestseller list how to write." Patton has Burke's fiction nailed. The match is made in heaven.
