The Hammond SK1 is the first "Ultra-Portable" organ in its history, weighing in at just 15 pounds, and the first Hammond portable to feature a wide range of Extra Voices. The "Drawbar" section is a complete Hammond Organ with all the traditional features: Real Mechanical Drawbars, Chorus Vibrato, Touch-Response Percussion, and the most authentic Digital Leslie we have ever offered. "Vx" and "Farf" combo organ models are also available, as well as an assortment of fine classical Pipe Organ voices derived from our 935 Church Organ. Acoustic and Electric Pianos, Clavs, Accordions, Vintage String Synth, Wind Instruments and Tuned Percussion round out the specification.

  • I seen this board up close in the store...it's 'ok' lol Tad bit' over priced 'in my book' lol

  • @henkehakansson2004 You are SOO right!! I am glad that someone else points this out. I am using a Jesse Crawford record i just posted as my reply to this video. You talk about a master at the Hammond, Jesse is all over this record demonstrating the importance of good swell technique in order to portray the entire range of the Hammond organ's vast tonal capabilities. The organ is just 1 part of the equation. Tube amps are current devices & like a great guitar amp, a real Hammond & Leslie interact

  • Good demo!

  • Why don't they test with a swell pedal? That's what'll make them break or make. When playing with a pedal, you should have clear sound at heel position. And when stepped fully down, the distortion should increase more so than the overall loudness and volume. Too bad no one really displays this. Even the Nord ones doesn't care for this. All clones should address that. It may be most or all clones Achilles heel. To make that WOOF scary sound. Still haven't heard one who does this.

  • This new Hammond is rather fabulous, sounds looks like the legendary B3 ! thanks Susuki

  • HI, are the lefthand bass notes sustainable, thank you.!

  • @supermatt614 I would love to see Hammond make mult-channel leslie speaker again. They have the 21 system but it does not have the Rotosonic Loud speaker. That Rotosonic loud speaker makes everything smooth and makes the organ sound really good. In my opinion, even better than the new 122 and 971 leslie. The only thing about the 971 is that it has more power then some of the ones I just mentioned. I was hoping that NOrd would have given the Stage II piano a 11 pin output for leslie

  • What song was at 0:16?

  • @Royalorgans Yeah, I was wondering the same thing. Except with the Electro 3. But keep in mind, you are comparing a HAMMOND...... with a Hammond SIMULATOR. The organ sound on the Hammond is better. But the things you can do on a Nord are extremely nice to have. I was wondering more of if you could do the same things on this as you can the Nord. I.e. run a piano through the leslie.... Cough* Echoes* Cough*

  • which do you think is the best. The Hammond Sk-1 or the Nord Stage 2
