Made another run to the wholesale club. started filling some 5 gal. buckets.

Also, I got asked the other day, "how are you able to afford all this stuff?". The answer is very simple - I declutter. I sell anything and everything I don't need or don't use anymore. I take the money I make and buy items I need to be prepared. I use Craigslist and eBay mostly.

  • Great Job on your storage. I would break the Milk into smaller mylars. that way you are not opening +/- 100 cups of powder. Powdered milk gets moist quickly.

  • Chinese eat 5 cup of rice a day for family of 4

  • Look up the world health organization's "gatorade" recipe. Way cheaper and taste good.

  • 50 lbs. of rice = roughly 80,000 calories. I think you can figure out from there how long it'll last you.

  • I see this video has been up a few years, so you might not see this comment. Also, I didn't read all 149 previous comments so this might have been addressed already...... Regarding your storage, "Shelf Life" is the big thing to consider. The flour in the bucket - from everything I've read, flour has a short shelf life, it will go rancid in less than a year, at room temps. Canned goods, on the other hand, usually last longer than the date on the can, if stored in a cool place. Good video!

  • @C1I1N2 The rice will last a MINIMUM of 15 years stored like this.

  • 6:07 oh there they are, where are the chick flicks?? or are they for solo sexy time? ;)

  • I would look into dry packed yeast it works just as well and it VERY affordable. Also experimenting with sour dough breads.

  • @C1I1N2 not true! most food items can be stored well past their expiration. This man is doing the correct storage so he won't get sick. Do some research on long term food storage and you will see he's right.

  • Do you know this is wasting food! If you dont eat that in 1 year or less it will expire.... what a wast.. and if you ate it lets say 3 years later you get sick.
