We go behind the scenes with Marc Krebs and get a peek at a couple of very interesting prototype AK's he's working on. We also take another look at the 6.5 Grendel AK we saw in the Machine Gun Mayhem video. This is an unprecedented opportunity to see some really neat custom AK's in development and of course to spend some time on the range with the AK master himself, Marc Krebs. The 6.5 Grendel is one of the more promising rifle cartridges out there right now. The 6.5 Grendel is one of the cartridges I'm most interested in right now.

Does the modified gas system make for better suppression?

i dont really see the point...why not just get an AR? im sure the AKs "ledgendary reliability" probably went out the window when he changed the gas system

@Sturmgewehre Is the recoil on the 6.5 grendel similar to 7.62x39?

@TheSavage169 That would be the most pointless thing ever. The .300AAC offers very little advantage over the 7.62x39.

The only problem is you can build an AR15 in 6.5 Grendel and it will be more accurate for almost half the cost.

Is that an AR-15 barrel?

@CarlRF99 No. On the 6.5 it's a Sheelan barrel. On the Saiga's they're both factory barrels.

well hell , ill take the 223 then., shes real swet as well.., hahawhat does that weight., 5 lbs hahah., any idea sturm on what kinda twist that barrel has?? shootin the heavy stuff pretty good though huh.,?thx

The .223/5.56mm Saiga has a 1:9 barrel on it.
