To all Rope Skipping / Jump Rope minded people in the World.

Last April we were invited to visit the most awesome invention our Sport has seen since it was born!
And this September we worked with the first 98% finished prototype!
And perhaps as of the very end of December this year (hopefully before Christmas!) you can work with it also!!

Last April we received a phone call from a man telling us that he invented an apparatus that is able to count Speed.
Knowing how much problems we all have encountered in our practise and in our competitions, it wouldnt surprise you when I say that we didnt believe this.
Especially since the man calling us was not known to anyone in the Rope Skipping scene. And he didnt even know that Rope Skipping as a Sport exists.
But at the same time, this was his advantage! Because if an outsider is claiming such invention, then who are we to say: Thats Impossible!.
So we made an appointment and went to his house: Three Top Skippers and two Skippers with enough common sense and scepticism.

When we entered the room, we saw a clock. The man didnt say much. Took his Rope and started skipping. Like any normal boxer or athlete skips, the clock counted the rotations of the Rope! Not his feet on the floor. Not the tapping sound of the Ropes or shoes! Not the pressure the body creates on the impact on the floor! No It actually counted the rotations of the Rope!
Flabbergasted we started preparing. Because our Speed being three to four times faster that this guy, how would the device deal with our rotations?! And the fact that our Ropes are only 2 mm steel wire against his 6 mm plastic Rope.
But the moment we started doing our Speed, the clock counted each and every rotation without a mistake!! And after witnessing half an hour of 100% correct counting of Speed, Double Unders and Triples, we decided that it perhaps could be possible to count the Ropes in Double Dutch. WHICH IT DID!!!!
