Christmas Lights - St.Helier Jersey 2009

A series of video shots set to festive music, filmed a year ago in St.Helier, the main town of Jersey.

I didn't upload it in time for last Christmas because back then YouTube had an upload problem and were mangling UK 25 frame rates to US 29.97 standards, making smooth motion seem jerky. By the time the bug had been sorted it was way past Easter, and my whole life had been turned upside down..... it's been a year of turmoil for me and hasn't left me much time or enthusiasm for working with video (for the time being?).

Watching it again after all this time I can see where I went wrong! Too much fast zooming, and rapid pacing doesn't suit the music all that well - it was a bit rushed to fit the total time to the length of the song. I enjoy shooting video but the editing isn't really my speciality! But what's done is done, and I thought I may as well share it with the world just in case anyone manages to enjoy any of it :)

The "Third Party Content" warning is a bit odd - at the time of uploading the music was available for use under a free "Creative Commons" licence!
