Liv was bitter because of her health, bad marriage and stress from work I guess, Idk I'm still watching the beginning. Nat was simple at heart, religious and hold no malice on life. They're opposites colliding and each absolved what the other had best, Liv gave Nat confidence and Nat gave Liv kindness. They respected their differences deep down, despite the discussions, and that was the perfect match. Just magic.

The interesting thing about this time when it first air was that I always got frustrated with Natalia's patients and wanted her to tell Liv off more. I just didn't got why she took so much form Liv (I knew why but you know what I mean). Liv I got, Nat often bugged me though.

Thanx willowtarafan1 for doing this! Finally someone who's just as, ahem, invested in getting all of Otalia's backstory together properly as I am, but who luckily has the nerve and skills to do so, unlike me.
Gosh, I can't believe how malicious Liv was back then (surely as a way of protecting herself), and still Nat always came back and never faltered, thankfully. And look at where they're at now. So much for "We're never going to like each other".

Olivia could be such an easy character to hate here, but I think CC does such a brilliant job of hinting at the "real" Olivia that's buried behind some pretty big walls. JL So fiesty but can't help but being so giving.
