During Big Tent 2009 in Atlanta we caught up with some past commissioners and advisory delegates to ask them about their experiences and the lessons they learned while serving at General Assembly for the Presbyterian Church U.S.A.. Hopefully the insight provided here will help you begin your journey with a little more information and the feeling of support and community.

    - Have fun . . . ok

    - Rest . . . ok

    - See the town . . . ok

    - Trust the Holy Spirit . . . GOOD!

    - Pray . . . Thank you to our two African-Americans!

    - Speak up . . . ok

    - Expose yourself to ministries . . . ok

    - Read the materials . . . ok

Why is it that NOBODY said to study or even refer to Scripture? The most important advice, but the PCUSA long ago abandoned the infallibility and authority of scripture. So sad, and so telling of their current state.
