Hofmeister was marketed in the 1980s with a series of advertisements featuring a bear, George, with a shiny, yellow jacket and famously, a pork pie hat.

This was great advertisement at it's best, unfortunately the bear was replaced by a hedgehog because it gave drinkers false impressions that they can do things better by drinking and the Hofmeister lager is now non-existent. =p

I'm too young to remember this advert when it was originally shown, but I've seen it on nostalgic TV shows and it's hilarious. If only they made adverts like that now.

When i first started supping i would get an 8 pack of hoff cos it was cheap. it was a bit shit but it was the advert's that sold it. follow the bear, fucking right!
