P.s. The truest friendships are the enduring ones........ they are the people who stand by you through thick and thin, a good friend can be as precious as a lover.
If someone is truly your friend then they will accept you whatever your sexuality, (albeit maybe not instantly, as happened with some of my friends when I did!) those who are true will come back eventually. Whatever, give people time to 'adapt' and try not to be too in their faces about it.
What about your parents? I'm curious about how your father reacted or would react? I have yet to tell my dad that I'm gay and I'm in a quandary similar to yours on how exactly to tell him. He's very traditional Mormon. He's suspected that I was gay before, even to the point of taking me aside and asking me "Son, are you gay." I told him no. I want to tell him the truth but I really don't know how. Good luck with your friends, and if you could give me any advice, I would much appreciate it.
Good luck and stay strong. I just told my best friend about me, and even though he was positive about it, I'm still struggling about telling other people. Here in Portugal there's still a lot of prejudice about homosexuality, so there's this innate fear about coming out of the closet...So, it's been hard to stay strong and to be genuine and sometimes happy....
So when i watch videos like yours i find it refreshing and inspiring :)
P.S. This is a very important and necessary step. Once that you are likely to take over and over (and over). But it does get easier eventually as you come to accept yourself and surround with genuine friends who accept you for who you are...
